(Audacy) It seems likely that changes are coming for the Chicago Bears, and the rumor mill fired up Sunday morning before the report was denied.

Former Bears defensive end and renowned coaching agent Trace Armstrong denied a report from Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports that he discussed a top management position with the franchise in which the general manager would report to him. Armstrong is the agent of Ohio State coach Ryan Day. He played for the Bears from 1989-'94.
Armstrong is also the agent for current Bears coach Matt Nagy, who seems likely to be fired at season's end short of a miracle playoff run.
Day, 42, has built an impressive resume at Ohio State and has shown interest in jumping to the NFL in recent years, La Canfora reported.
Day previously worked in the NFL as a quarterbacks coach with the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers from 2015-'16 before replacing Urban Meyer at Ohio State.
While college coaches have historically struggled to make the transition to the NFL, Day has close ties to Bears rookie quarterback Justin Fields, who played for him at Ohio State.
Las Vegas Raiders director of pro personnel Dwayne Joseph is another potential candidate to join the Bears' front office should they make changes, La Canfora reported.
