(Audacy) The Bears offense has had enough trouble putting up points this season as is, and a few controversial decisions from the officials certainly didn't make it any easier against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night.
Whether it was a harsh hit on rookie quarterback Justin Fields that went unflagged, a curious low block call on a Chicago drive in the red zone or a different harsh hit on Fields that went unflagged, there was plenty for Bears fans -- as well as coach Matt Nagy on the sideline -- to be upset about.

In a couple of different cases, Fields was hit hard — and potentially illegally — but without any consequence for the Steelers defense. The one that drew the most ire occurred when Fields whipped a swing pass to the right side and was blindsided about a second later.
Many questioned why the officials kept the flags off the field when Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had been awarded with a seemingly less severe roughing-the-passer call earlier in the game.
Immediately before the no-call on the potential roughing the passer, the Bears had a touchdown taken off the board after Fields had found tight end Jimmy Graham in the end zone. The flag? A low-block penalty on a Bears offensive lineman, though it didn't appear that there was much contact, if any at all, and the ESPN broadcasting crew pointed out the block attempt was also legally within the tight end box. Though video isn't readily available of the play, you'll probably realize that you don't want to see it anyway after seeing the social media outburst that came as a result.
