(104.3 The Score) The Bears are taking a flyer on veteran running back Salvon Ahmed by signing him to the roster, a source said Wednesday.
Ahmed, 27, hasn't played a regular-season game since 2023. He missed all of the 2025 season after suffering a serious lower leg injury during training camp with the Colts.
Ahmed played four seasons with the Dolphins from 2020-'23, rushing for 593 yards and five scores in 38 games.
Ahmed is now 100% following his recovery from injury and will get the opportunity to compete for a role in the Bears' backfield. That group is led by veteran running back D'Andre Swift and second-year running back Kyle Monangai.
The Bears are currently working through their offseason program at Halas Hall.
