(670 The Score) The Blackhawks wasted no time in reaching a deal with newly acquired veteran forward Corey Perry at the end of a busy week.

The 38-year-old Perry has signed a one-year, $4-million deal with Chicago, the team announced Friday morning. The Blackhawks acquired Perry from the Lightning on Thursday in exchange for a 2024 seventh-round pick. That gave them an exclusive negotiating window before free agency opens Saturday.

Perry had 25 points (12 goals, 13 assists) in 81 games for the Lightning last season. He has 883 points (417 goals, 466 assists) in 1,257 NHL games in an 18-year career.
