Bernstein & Harris: Bulls are going to lead the NBA in getting dunked on

(670 The Score) Before they even held their first practice of training camp, the Bulls acknowledged what their biggest weakness will likely be this season.

“We’re going to have some defensive challenges – there’s no question,” coach Billy Donovan said at media day.

Donovan shared that viewpoint knowing the facts and the context of what transpired in the offseason. After ranking 21st in defensive efficiency last season, the Bulls traded all-defensive team guard Alex Caruso to the Thunder for guard Josh Giddey, an offense-first player. Chicago also lost veteran center Andre Drummond, who’s a terrific rebounder, in free agency.

It’s with that in mind that Score midday host Dan Bernstein expressed just how bad the Bulls could be on that end.

“This Bulls team is going to be so bad defensively – so bad,” Bernstein said.

“The Bulls are going to have constant dunks raining on their heads.”

Listen to the full segment in the audio player above as Bernstein and co-host Marshall Harris shared their expectations for the Bulls this season.

The Bulls open the preseason against the Cavaliers on Tuesday. The game can be heard on 670 The Score, with pregame set for 5:45 p.m.
