CHICAGO (670 The Score) – Bulls center Nikola Vucevic will miss Chicago’s game against Atlanta on Tuesday evening due to a left adductor contusion.
An MRI confirmed a strain in Vucevic’s groin, Bulls coach Billy Donovan said. The original source of the injury was a play in the Bulls’ loss to the Cavaliers on Saturday when Vucevic collided with Cleveland wing Max Strus as Strus threw down a dunk.
“It started there, and then what ended up happening was he probably got hit there,” Donovan said.
This will mark Vucevic’s first missed game of the season. He played all 82 games last season.
Vucevic is averaging 16.7 points and 10.4 rebounds this season.
“A lot of it is going to be how he responds to rehab,” Donovan said when asked how long Vucevic will be out.
