Bulls' Zach LaVine undergoes arthroscopic surgery on left knee

(670 The Score) Bulls star guard Zach LaVine underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Tuesday in Los Angeles, the team announced.

LaVine is expected to make a full recovery, the Bulls said.

LaVine has suffered from chronic left knee soreness since January, when he suffered an injury and missed a short stretch of games. An MRI found the knee to be structurally sound. Through the second half of the season, LaVine was on a constant maintenance plan in order to be ready to play games at a high level. He suffered a torn ACL in the same knee in 2017.

LaVine earned All-Star honors for the second time while averaging 24.4 points on 47.6% shooting this past season.

LaVine's health is looming over his upcoming free agency. While the Bulls are favored to re-sign him, LaVine has also emphasized that he'll consider all his options. The Bulls can offer LaVine a five-year deal worth around $212 million. Other teams could only offer him a four-year deal worth around $157 million if they were to sign him outright.
