(104.3 The Score) Safety Coby Bryant has agreed to join the Bears on a three-year, $40-million deal, sources confirmed.
Bryant, 26, is coming off a season in which he hauled in a career-best four interceptions and was a key piece of a Seahawks team that won the Super Bowl. He was previously a cornerback in Seattle who found success in switching to safety.
A third-round pick of the Seahawks in 2022, Bryant converted to safety two years ago.
The Bears' addition of Bryant could mark the end of veteran safety Kevin Byard's two-year tenure in Chicago. The 32-year-old Byard earned All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors this past season and is expected to command a lucrative deal in free agency.
The Bears can officially sign Bryant on Wednesday afternoon, when the new league year begins.
