(670 The Score) Score baseball insider Bruce Levine believes it's time for the Cubs to promote top pitching prospect Cade Horton from Triple-A Iowa to the big leagues to replace injured ace Shota Imanaga in the club's rotation.

"He's the best choice right now," Levine said on the Mully & Haugh Show on Thursday morning. "Let him throw his 75 pitches against the Mets and let's move on with a power arm in the Cubs rotation."

The 23-year-old Horton has been terrific this season, posting a 1.24 ERA and 0.86 WHIP in six starts for Triple-A Iowa. He has struck out 33 batters and walked 13 in 29 innings.
