(670 The Score) The Cubs have called up outfielder Nelson Velazquez in a series of roster moves Monday morning.
Velazquez, 23, was hitting .253 with 12 home runs and 25 RBIs over 41 games this season with the Cubs’ Double-A and Triple-A affiliates. He is in line to make his major-league debut.

The Cubs also recalled right-handers Matt Swarmer and Anderson Espinoza on Monday morning. Swarmer, 28, is scheduled to start Monday’s first game of a doubleheader with the Brewers at Wrigley Field in his major-league debut. Espinoza, 24, is the 27th man for Monday.
Swarmer is 3-1 with a 2.08 ERA in nine appearances and five starts this season with Triple-A Iowa. Espinoza is 0-4 with a 7.31 ERA in eight starts with Double-A Tennessee.
The Cubs placed infielder Jonathan Villar (mouth) on the injured list. He is hitting .239 in 32 games this season with the Cubs. Right-hander Ethan Roberts was transferred to the 60-day injured list.
