(670 The Score) The Cubs have signed eight of their top 10 picks in the recently completed MLB Draft, including Oklahoma right-hander Cade Horton, whom they selected at No. 7 overall in the first round.

Horton signed for $4.45 million, according to Maddie Lee of the Sun-Times. That was for less than the recommended slot value of $5.71 million. Horton went 5-2 with a 4.86 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, 64 strikeouts and 15 walks in 52 2/3 innings this past season.
The Cubs also signed infielder Christopher Paciolla (third round), right-hander Brandon Birdsell (fifth round), right-hander Will Frisch (sixth round), right-hander Nick Hull (seventh round), right-hander Mason McGwire (eighth round), right-hander Connor Noland (ninth round) and right-hander Brody McCollough (10th round).
The Cubs haven’t yet signed left-hander Jackson Ferris (second round), right-hander Nazier Mule (fourth round) or any of their final 10 selections.
