Eloy Jimenez out of White Sox's lineup again in Game 2

Edwin Encarnacion is back in the lineup as the designated hitter.

(670 The Score) White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez is out of the team’s lineup once again against the Athletics in Game 2 of their wild-card round series Wednesday afternoon.

Jimenez missed the White Sox’s win in Game 1 on Tuesday and continues to deal with a foot sprain. Leury Garcia will once again play left field in place of Jimenez and hit eighth.

The White Sox’s main change in Game 2 is reinserting Edwin Encarnacion as their designated hitter after he sat out Game 1. Encarnacion hit .157 with a .627 OPS in the regular season. Yasmani Grandal will catch in Game 2 after serving as the DH in the opener. Catcher Brian McCann isn’t in the lineup in Game 2.

White Sox left-hander Dallas Keuchel will oppose Athletics right-hander Chris Bassitt. Here’s a look at the White Sox’s lineup. The game starts shortly after 2 p.m. CT.
