(670 The Score) The White Sox have endured a difficult season as they sit at 32-43 entering play Wednesday, but they’re only 4.5 games back of first place in the AL Central.

The White Sox have a semblance of hope because they reside in a weak division, which the Twins lead while sitting two games under .500 at 36-38.

With that in mind, former White Sox manager and current NBC Sports Chciago analyst Ozzie Guillen doesn't envy the job of general manager Rick Hahn, who must determine whether to buy at the trade deadline to make a push for the division title or sell off key players such as right-hander Lucas Giolito and perhaps shortstop Tim Anderson.

“I think it’s way harder for Rick Hahn and the White Sox because they don’t know what to do right now,” Guillen said on the Mully & Haugh Show on Wednesday morning. “They don’t know. They know they have a chance. And they know it’s a good chance to win this division.

“This division is pathetic. This division is horrible. This division is embarrassing to the game.”

The White Sox earned a 7-6 win against the Rangers on Tuesday by scoring three runs in the eighth inning, including the go-ahead run on a controversial video review ruling.

The White Sox and Rangers square off in the rubber match of their three-game set Wednesday evening in Chicago.

Recently, Hahn shared his hope that the White Sox can click in the coming weeks and make a run to take control in the AL Central.

“If we are able to turn this around and get ourselves in a position to win this division given that we are currently (12 games under .500), we are obviously to be playing pretty damn good baseball through the final two, three months of the season, which would give us reason to believe postseason performance could be better,” Hahn said. “Making the playoffs is important, but the goals are loftier than that. We’ll be judged only with what happens as we get much closer to Aug. 1 than we are now."
