(670 The Score) The White Sox and Braves completed another trade Saturday.

Chicago acquired veteran catcher Max Stassi and cash considerations from Atlanta in exchange for a player to be named later or cash. The Braves had just acquired the 32-year-old Stassi from the Angels on Friday in a four-player trade.

Stassi missed the entire 2023 season with the Angeles because of a left hip strain as well as time on the restricted list due to a family medical issue. He’s a career .212 hitter with a .656 OPS in 10 MLB seasons. Stassi has been a solid defensive player, ranking third among catchers in defensive runs saved from 2018-’22.

The White Sox’s acquisition of Stassi was their second trade with the Braves this offseason. In November, Chicago traded reliever Aaron Bummer to Atlanta for five players, including right-hander Mike Soroka.
