(670 The Score) The White Sox have acquired outfielder Adam Haseley in a trade with the Phillies, the club announced Tuesday. In exchange, the White Sox sent minor league right-hander McKinley Moore to the Phillies.

Haseley, 25, was the No. 8 pick in the 2017 MLB amateur draft and made his big league debut in 2019. He didn’t play much in 2021, as he was placed on the restricted list last April due to personal reasons and didn’t return to game action again. The lefty-swinging Haseley was 4-of-21 in nine games for the Phillies before stepping away last season.
Haseley has hit .264 with a .695 OPS in 116 games across three MLB seasons.
McKinley, 23, was a 14th-round pick of the White Sox in the 2019 draft. He has a 4.43 ERA in two minor league seasons. He ascended to high Class-A in 2021.
In a corresponding move to make room for Haseley on the 40-man roster, the White Sox designated outfielder Blake Rutherford for assignment.
