In a corresponding move, Chicago placed right-hander Matt Foster on the family medical leave list.
Pollock has been sidelined since April 9, when he suffered right hamstring strain after hitting a single. He’s 4-of-7 with an RBI in limited action across two games. Pollock will hit sixth and play center field when the White Sox play the Twins on Friday evening.
Foster is off to a strong start, posting a 1.42 ERA in five relief appearances this season.
