(670 The Score) White Sox slugger Eloy Jimenez is officially back.
The White Sox on Monday activated Jimenez from the injured list and optioned infielder Jake Burger to Triple-A Charlotte ahead of their game at the Kansas City Royals in the evening. Jimenez has been out the entire regular season after suffering a torn left pectoral tendon in a spring training game late in March.
Jimenez will be the White Sox's designated hitter and hit fourth against the Royals on Monday. He's likely to play left field Tuesday and then DH again Wednesday, manager Tony La Russa told reporters.
