(670 The Score) The White Sox reinstated catcher Yasmani Grandal from the injured list amid a series of roster moves Wednesday afternoon.

Grandal had been out since suffering a left knee strain on Aug. 20. He’s hitting .203 with three homers, 21 RBIs and a .566 OPS in 74 games this season.

In other moves, the White Sox reinstated right-hander Lance Lynn from the bereavement list and optioned lefty reliever Tanner Banks and catcher Carlos Perez to Triple-A Charlotte.

Lynn (3-5, 5.00 ERA) is scheduled to start when the White Sox host the Royals on Wednesday evening at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Banks has a 3.26 ERA in 32 appearances this season. He allowed two earned runs while recording just one out in the White Sox’s 9-7 loss to the Royals on Tuesday.

Perez went 1-for-4 in his recent stint with the White Sox, one in which he made his MLB debut last Friday. He also struggled defensively behind home plate.
