(670 The Score) The White Sox placed All-Star shortstop Tim Anderson on the 10-day injured list amid a series of moves as rosters expanded Wednesday.
Anderson is suffering from a left hamstring strain. He had missed the past two games with what the team called soreness in both hamstrings.

In other moves, Chicago recalled right-hander Matt Foster from Triple-A Charlotte, reinstated outfielder Billy Hamilton from the 10-day injured list, designated infielder/outfielder Jake Lamb for assignment, selected the contract of infielder Romy Gonzalez from Triple-A and recalled infielder/outfielder Gavin Sheets from Triple-A.
Foster has a 5.67 ERA in 31 appearances across four stints for the White Sox in 2021. Hamilton has hit .226 with two homers, 11 RBIs, eight steals and 19 runs in 57 games.
Lamb hit .212 with six homers and 13 RBIs in 43 games before being let go.
Gonzalez, 24, hit .275 with 23 homers, 57 RBIs and 22 steals in 87 games across the Double-A and Triple-A levels this season. He’s one of seven players in the minor leagues with 20 homers and 20 steals in 2021.
The White Sox selected Gonzalez in the 18th round of the 2018 amateur draft. He has never appeared in an MLB game.
Sheets hit .225 with six homers and 16 RBIs in 29 games with the White Sox earlier this season. After the moves, the White Sox's active roster is now at the 28-man limit.
