(670 The Score) The White Sox have reinstated third baseman Yoan Moncada from the injured list, they announced Friday before hosting the Astros in the evening at Guaranteed Rate Field.
Moncada had been sidelined since April 9 due to lower back soreness. He was off to a hot start this season, hitting .308 with two homers, five RBIs and an .889 OPS in nine games. Moncada went 8-for-14 in his recent rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte.
In corresponding moves, the White Sox optioned infielder Lenyn Sosa to Triple-A and outrighted right-hander Alexander Colome to Triple-A. Sosa is hitting .132 in 22 games for the White Sox this season. Colome has allowed two earned runs in three innings across four appearances for Chicago.
