CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- There's a zombie raccoon apocalypse in Stickney.
Ok don't panic, we are kidding about the apocalypse part, but...
Stickney Police are warning this week about raccoons that are "acting strange" because they may have distemper.
The Stickney Township Animal Control issued a warning on Facebook for residents to be on the lookout for raccoons that are "not moving and just staring, growling, showing their teeth, crawling in circles."
According to the warning, people should not approach these animals and should not let their pets, especially dogs, near them. Also do not try to feed them.
Anyone who spots a raccoon that displays these behaviors is asked to call the Stickney Township Animal Control at 708-424-9200.
