Amherst, NY (WBEN) An Amherst Police car was involved in a crash Friday afternoon.
It happened around 12:30pm at Sheridan Dr. near Niagara Falls Blvd. Police say the officer was responding to assist another patrol and was involved in a crash with an 2017 Ford. That car was driven by a 71 year old Buffalo man who was taken toKenmore Mercy Hospital with a minor injury.
The officer was taken to Millard Fillmore Suburban hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
