Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown was all smiles at the Corporate Challenge Thursday night as he talked-up two major downtown development projects that hit major milestones this week.
The Preservation Board gave the go-ahead to Mark Croce to begin $3 million in exterior renovations to the Statler Thursday. Mayor Brown said, "people will start to see new windows, they will see the entrances restored". The exterior work on the Statler could begin as soon as this summer according to Mayor Brown. "We're very fortunate that that building was saved from the wrecking ball", Brown added.
