BUFFALO (WBEN) - After lifting everyone's spirits in a thorough victory over the Dolphins on Sunday, the Bills were back in Buffalo on Tuesday to help tackle hunger issues in Buffalo.

About a dozen players arrived at the Food Bank of Western New York to pass out totes and bags filled with Thanksgiving food to ensure that about 600 families will have a terrific holiday season.

"Me and my teammates love opportunities like this because the love that this community shows us is pretty unreal," said rookie tight end Dawson Knox, who recorded a touchdown on Sunday. "Even down in Miami it was mostly Bills fans - just to see the crowd and the fans get behind us like that even in a place so far down south is pretty awesome. So, any chance that we get to be able to take advantage like this and give back to the people that love us so much is a good experience for us."

Anne McKenna serves as the chief communications officer for FeedMore WNY, which is the former food bank and Meals on Wheels joining forces, and she explained that it's always great to partner with the Bills because it helps bring awareness to the kind of work they're trying to achieve.

"Our goal, our mission is to provide nutritious food to our neighbors in need," she said. "So, whether they're children or families, elderly people, veterans - we serve everyone from 1 year old to 100 years old."
