Buffalo, NY (WBEN) The Erie County Legislature is expected to vote Thursday to approve body cams for Erie County Sheriff's Deputies. Once final procedures wrap up on the county side, training will soon begin.
Zylka says the bodycams are important. "These are evidence gathering tools. That is always important when we're looking to prosecute those who commit crimes. The more evidence we have, the stronger the case is to make sure someone is convicted if they broke the law," says Zylka.
The legislature meeting is scheduled for 2pm.
