BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - The City of Buffalo Public Works Department kicked off its first "pothole blitz" of 2019.
Finn said 3-1-1 calls are down this year compared to last. Last February, Buffalo received more than 1,100 calls while the city is now at around 400 calls.

"If you are reporting...give as accurate a description as possible using an address that the pothole is near or an intersection," Finn said. "Use the nearest number on a street light pole. The number is usually pretty close to addresses and our crews use those a lot when they're finding their way around the city."
