Buffalo looking more like Blue Jays home

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) If you haven't been to Sahlen Field in downtown Buffalo recently, you might think you're in Toronto. Or that the Buffalo Bisons don't exist anymore.

The Blue Jays home away from home has undergone a rebranding in a short amount of time.

The outfield walls have gone from green to blue. There's new signage inside and outside of the ballpark. The scoreboard, top of dugout and banners outside the stadium all indicate it's the home of the Toronto Blue Jays. Much of the new signage is being installed by Streamline Designs of Buffalo.

It's well known that the team needed new lighting above the field for television.  That work is being completed. But there's also work going on in the infield, the bullpen, and pitching mound all in preparation for the home away from home opener in one week, next Tuesday, August 11, against the Miami Marlins.

The Blue Jays are scheduled to play 25 home games at Sahlen Field after they were denied permsision from the Canadian government to play in Toronto.
