Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Buffalo Police are investigating an officer-involved accident that occurred on the city's west side Friday evening. The incident occurred as an officer was responding to assist in a traffic stop at Grant and Potomac.
While responding to assist, the second officer vehicle struck a bicyclist. The bicyclist was taken to Erie County Medical Center and underwent surgery.
The Buffalo Police Internal Affairs Unit is investigatign the incident.
BPD are on the scene of an officer involved accident at Grant & Potomac. While responding to assist another officer on a traffic stop a BPD vehicle struck a bicyclist. Bicyclist is currently in surgery at ECMC. Internal affairs and accident investigation unit is on scene.
