BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - A former bus aide faces up to a year in prison after he struck an autistic boy in the face with a shoe.
Prosecutors said Anthony Lanier cut the boy on his face with the boy's shoe on December 11, 2018. Lanier, 34, was a bus aide for Western New York Bus Company and has since been fired.
He plead guilty to attempted endangering the welfare of an incompetent person, which is a misdemeanor.
He will be sentenced on July 8.
