Buffalo, NY (WBEN) The American Cancer Society says cancer rates are at a 25 year low, but one cancer specialist says more needs to be done.
Dr. Steven Edge of Roswell Park credits a few factors. "It's due to the treatment and research that's going on. It's also due to changes in our lifestyle, particularly related to smoking, we're using less tobacco, the leading cause of cancer death. We're also seeing early detection of cancers," says Edge.
Edge says access to screening services and lifestyle issues need to be addressed.
