Code Blue T-shirt Sale and Awareness Campaign

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - There's been a strong response to a fundraising and awareness effort kicked-off by the Restoration Society and Code Blue, following the death of Larry Bierl, during blizzard conditions in January.

After Bierl's death, the Restoration Society was contacted by Park Avenue Imprints to honor the memory of Larry and help the homeless population served by Code Blue.

The "One life lost is one too many" t-shirts and hoodies are $15 and $25 respectively and available directly through the Restoration Society website.

Bennett said funds raised from the effort will be used to enhance services by Code Blue and raise the awareness of the community to make sure there is not another Larry.

"The biggest message is that if you see someone in need, call 211 in Buffalo to reach Code Blue outreach workers. Outside of the city you can call 211 or Crisis Services at 716-834-3131." Bennett said the goal is to make sure the homeless population has a safe, warm place to stay.
