Blasdell, NY (WBEN) It's been a rough week for contractors working on a bus loop at Frontier High School. A gas line and an internet fiber line were both hit this week.
On Tuesday, contractors digging hit the gas line, and Thursday, the internet cable fiber was hit, affecting internet and phone services in the district. "They were marked, and we've gotta dig in to see if they were marked correctly," says superintendent Dr. Richard Hughes.
Hughes says the gas company repaired the line quickly Tuesday, and Thursday, Spectrum built a new trench for a new fiber line "in a more appropriate location and a greater depth."
Hughes says just a couple of land line phones were down Thursday.
He says activities and summer school are going on as planned.
