Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Governor Cuomo says Western New York still has a caution flag flying after rapid testing results came in.

The positive rate for COVID infection for the region reached 2% Sunday. "The hospitalizations are ticking up, so we need a real alert in WNY, and we'll continue testing. We also need increased compliance and enforcement in WNY," says Cuomo.

The state says eight rapid testing sites did 1,200 tests Sunday, with an overall positive rate of 3.1%, with the city of Buffalo at 4.8%, the rest of Erie County at 0.6%, Niagara County 4.0%, and Chautuqua County at 1.4%.
