The Erie County Legislature remains in control of the democrats with a 7-to-4 margin after several notable victories. Kevin Hardwick retained his seat in the 4th legislative district while Jeanne Vinal won in the 5th district and John Gilmour flipping the 9th district into democratic hands. Republicans gained one seat after Frank Todaro defeated one-term incumbent John Bruso, though the democrat did not concede on Tuesday night.
