HAMBURG, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Erie County Fair train arrived with dozens of pieces of equipment for Strates Shows on Wednesday morning ahead of the annual summertime festival.
More than a thousand people visited Union and Scott Streets in Hamburg to welcome the parade in. The grand entrance featured a performance by the Erie County Fair Marching Band.
"The Strates Show is the last railroad carnival in America," Strates Show Operations Manager Jim Strates said. "The last railroad show in America...We move a lot of our equipment over rail...We unload here in the Village of Hamburg, transport it to the town and to the fairgrounds where we start setting up all our rides."
