County Executive Mark Poloncarz says the county has made arrangements to purchase 400,000 N95 masks for use locally. The first shipment is scheduled for arrival on April 11. These masks will be distributed with area healthcare providers based on priority and need.
As restaurants go to take-out, Poloncarz says the county is reminding residents restaurants will still abide by all food safety and sanitary regulations.
He says restaurants are having customers order by phone and charge by credit card, having customers call upon arrival, no interaction between restaurant and customers picking up, and food being placed in the vehicle's trunk.
