Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - A fatal accident at the Metro Rail in Buffalo Thursday night has led to an investigation by the NFTA Transit Police.
The NFTA said 53 year old Mark Colemanattempted to jump between rail cars just before 8:30 Thursday night at the Fountain Plaza Station. As the train pulled from the station heading outbound, he fell on to the track.
"The preliminary investigation indicates the victim attempted to cut between two rail cars on the train, NFTA Transit Police Department Chief George Gast said.
Buffalo Police are assisting in the investigation. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
