AKRON, N.Y. (WBEN) - Monday was the first day of filming for John Krasinski's "A Quiet Place 2" in the Village of Akron and plenty of locals took the rare opportunity to get as close as they could to the filming.
Among the residents who visited Main Street in Akron includes Kathy Chubb, who lives near Chautauqua Lake during the summer. She said she returned because she wanted to see what it was like.
"I couldn't resist," she said. "I had to come back for the day and check out the excitement going on in town. It's like Hollywood is in town."
"Akron's been great," Fuller said. "They allowed us to shut down the street. It's hard to find a street that looks like this that they'll let you shut down."
Filming for A Quiet Place 2 continues in Akron until July 25. Main Street is closed between Buffalo and Church Streets.
