BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - (Photo courtesy @PhotogWKBW) - Buffalo firefighters were called to 488 Minnesota Avenue near Suffolk St before 7am Tuesday morning. A two-story house was heavily engulfed in flames.
Strong winds added to the challenges for firefighters. It was a 2 alarm fire with extra equipment called to the scene.
After knocking down the flames on the outside, firefighters entered the home, only to be forced out by the intense fire.
A second home suffered exposure damage.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. Damages places at $250,000 for both homes.
