Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Sub zero temperatures took a toll at a Buffalo Nursing home Friday.
Residents were moved to the cafeteria, an unaffected area of the building. It appears no one was hurt.
While repairs are made, that particular section of the building is not-habitable."They are going to have to find transport and make temporary living arrangements for 60 residents," said Bossi. "The utilities in the rest of the building are up and running and the sprinkler system is back with the exception of the 4th floor".
There are a total of 240 residents at the nursing home.
Chief Bossi said care of the residents was never in jeopardy and he commends the nursing home for the way they handled it.
Damage to the building is estimated at a million dollars.
