BUFFALO (WBEN) - As the public remains split on New York's plastic bag ban, one local establishment is attempting to bring some humor to the situation.
"We are having a funeral for the plastic bag in light of the recent legislation passed in New York to get rid of the disposable plastic bags in grocery stores," said Lakeside Memorial Funeral Home Director Candace Hawkins.
At their Hamburg and West Seneca locations, are laying the plastic bag to rest. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, people are invited to go and receive a reusable bag and observe a humorous viewing of the now deceased plastic bag.
