While it will likely be weeks or longer before any official determination is indicated in the crash that occurred Thursday night in a suburban neighborhood, a preliminary report may come within ten days. Until Saturday, officials from the National Transportation Safety Board have been examining the wreckage at the crash site and will now continue their work off site.
Tim Monville, a senior air safety investigator with the NTSB told Pennlive.com the debris removal is the next step in the complex investigation.
“It doesn’t mean we’re near the end of the investigation. It just means that we’re at a point where we can’t do anymore the way it rests (here)," he told Pennlive.com.
