LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WBEN) - Police in Niagara County arrested a Lockport woman after she led them on a high-speed pursuit over the weekend.
The Niagara County Sheriff's Office said Sincere E. Wiley, 27, was arrested in a yard on Green Street after a high-speed pursuit that lasted about ten minutes.
It began at 3:14 p.m. on Saturday when deputies saw her driving the car recklessly in the parking lot of the sheriff's office. After police tried to stop the vehicle, she fled west toward Lower Mountain Road. She then went north on Green Road, east on Ridge Road, and drove through a yard in the 4700 block of Ridge Road. Then, she went back to Ridge Road and nearly struck a marked police car head on. Once on Ridge, she made a right on Irish Road and drove through several roads through the Town of Cambria and Wilson before traveling to the Town of Lockport and City of Lockport.
Police said Wiley reached speeds of 80 to 90 miles per hour during the chase. No one was injured.
Wiley faces multiple charges including endangerment in the first degree, unlawfully fleeing of a police officer, criminal possession of stolen property, trespassing, reckless driving, and imprudent speed. She's being held without bail and will appear in a Town of Lockport court on Monday morning.
