(WBEN) - While the Houston Texans will have home field advantage on Saturday, Houston's Legion of Bills Backers are ready to make things feel a little like home for the team and whoever follows them.
Bills fans in Houston who typically meet on Sundays during the season are ready to throw a party for whoever is able to make the trip.
"We usually have a big crown of about 50 to 100 people at Christian's Tailgate (the local Bills Backers bar)," said Joe Driscoll, one of the main organizers of the Houston Bills Backers. "The place went nuts when we found out that the Bills were coming here. We love our Bills down here."
"I haven't slept. I am excited. We're having a huge party and we're expecting Bills Mafia to show up huge this weekend," Driscoll said.
The gatherings include a block party on Friday night and a Bills Tailgate Saturday where Driscoll expects an entire lot filled with Bills fans from Houston, Buffalo, Oklahoma, and all over the place.
What about the game itself?
"I've been to games where it was maybe 30% Bills fans, and though they may have outnumbered us, we were louder. We made as big if not a bigger impact than the home team('s fans) did," Driscoll said. "Being a playoff game and being a bigger traveling game, I see there being 40-50% Bills fans if not more."
