Buffalo, NY (WBEN) The state trooper struck by a vehicle during protests June 1st is suing the city of Buffalo.
Thomas Grillo, Jr., who represents Trooper Ronald Ensminger, claims the city violated policies and procedures leading to his being injured on Bailey Avenue. Deyanna Davis is accused of striking the trooper.
Grillo says Ensminger "has been unable to return to work due to the severity of his injuries. Trooper Ensminger will require considerably more medical treatment and his overall recovery is unknown at this time."
Davis is charged with aggravated assault upon a police officer, assault in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, and criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree.
