BUFFALO, N.Y (WBEN) - Candidates for the vacant Buffalo Comptroller position were interviewed on Tuesday by the Buffalo Common Council.

February 26, 2019 Among the candidates interviewed include Deputy Comptroller Vanessa Glushefski, Buffalo Common Councilman Richard Fontana, Comptroller Executive Assistant Patrick Curry, and Erie County Legislator Barbara Miller Williams.Mark Schroeder announced he was leaving his post as the city’s top fiscal watchdog at the end of 2018 to take a job with New York State.No vote for the interim position was immediately scheduled. The comptroller office will have a citywide vote in this year’s November election.
