Buffalo, NY (WBEN) The Annual Buffalo Italian Heritage Festival is on the move once again. The longtime rite of summer has had a variety of locations over the years, from Connecticut Street on the West Side, to Hertel Avenue to Buffalo's Outer Harbor. This year the celebration will be happening at Niagara Square in the heart of the Queen City. Festival organizers note that the move is one that brings the festival back to its roots as the very first event was called the Buffalo Italian Lawn Fete and took place at St. Anthony’s RC Church right behind City Hall. This year's event will take place July 20-21 and will run along Delaware Avenue from Niagara Square to Huron Street.nthony’s RC Church right behind City Hall.
