Buffalo, NY (WBEN) A man is charged with attempting to force sexual contact with a woman inside Erie County Medical Center.
Erie County prosecutors say 26-year-old Dorian Harold has been arraigned on two counts of Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree and two counts of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, Class "D" felonies.
Prosecutors say Harold engaged in sexual conduct by forcible compulsion with a female victim who was seated in a wheelchair at the time of the assault Monday night.
Harold is scheduled to return on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 2 p.m. for a felony hearing. Harold is being held on $30,000 bond.
If convicted on all charges, he faces a maximum of 25 years in prison.
ECMC released the following statement:
"A patient of ECMC's Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) on Monday, May 6th was alleged to have engaged in inappropriate behavior toward another CPEP patient, which was halted by staff. ECMC is taking this matter very seriously and referred the incident to law enforcement for a full investigation," said Peter K. Cutler, Vice President, Communications and External Affairs, ECMC Corporation.
