Man Sentenced for Wrong Way Crash

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) A Buffalo man is going to jail for a wrong way crash on the 33.

30-year-old Rodney Borden, Jr. of Buffalo has been sentenced by Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case to an indeterminate sentence of 1 to 3 years in prison for driving a vehicle the wrong way on the inbound Kensington Expressway/Route 33 near Locust Street in the City of Buffalo when he crashed head-on with another vehicle on October 15th.

The female driver was treated at ECMC, and she continues to recover from the serious injuries she suffered as a result of the crash.

Borden pleaded guilty to one count of Vehicular Assault in the First Degree, a Class “D” felony, on Thursday, June 6, 2019.
