March Snow! "This is not unusual at all"

Some good news?  Snow that falls this time of year has a harder time sticking to the ground, so this dusting with winter-like weather will be more unnerving than anything else.

For some perspective, says Hamilton, "we average fifteen days every March that we get some kind of snow".  The region traditionally records about 12 inches of snow on average each March.   "This is not unusual at all, it would be unusual if we didn't get snow", Hamilton said.


And keep this in mind too.  "We average several inches in April", Hamilton reminds us.
